Young footballers bag new kit with help from Leicester housebuilder
A junior football team in Leicester has secured new kit for the upcoming season, after receiving a financial boost from local housebuilder Bellway.
Bellway East Midlands, which has its regional head office in Leicester, provided £360 to the Super Star Sport FC U8s. The team trains at Glen Parva Memorial Park in Dorothy Avenue in the city.
The donation has covered the cost of a new strip for every player on the team ahead of the upcoming 2022/2023 season playing in the Leicester and District Mutual Football League.
Team manager Lee Haines said: “This donation will have a huge impact on the team and will be the difference between them playing in a generic training kit and them playing in a proper professional strip, which will give them that extra boost over the coming season.
“Given we are a community funded club, we are extremely reliant upon donations of this nature from local business such as Bellway. Every contribution allows us to continue to do what we do and provide a platform for children of all ages to enjoy doing something that they love.
“We are extremely appreciative of all that Bellway have done for us, and we would like to thank them for their kind sponsorship of our football club.”
