Staff from homebuilder Bellway raise more than £10,000 for Cancer Research UK with Cotswold Way walk
Staff at Bellway West Midlands have raised thousands of pounds for Cancer Research UK with a 26.7-mile walk through the Cotswolds.
Cancer Research UK has been Bellway’s chosen charity partner for the past eight years. The housebuilder has raised more than £3 million nationally for the cause since then and has set a £4 million fundraising target for the end of this year.
The company’s West Midlands division, which has its head office in Tamworth, decided to add to the total by walking part of the Cotswold Way at the end of June and so far, this effort has raised £10,069.
The walk follows in the footsteps of previous challenges completed by the team over recent years, including climbing Scafell Pike, Snowdon and Ben Nevis, which have raised more than £40,000.
Divisional Managing Director for Bellway West Midlands Ben Wright said: “Our charity walk through the Cotswolds was a fantastic experience. There were blue skies and stunning countryside for us to enjoy and knowing it was all raising money for such a good cause made it a perfect day.
“Cancer Research UK is close to our hearts and the team is always keen to raise money for such an important charity. They have certainly put their best foot forward over the years climbing and walking in England, Scotland and Wales.

Some members of the Bellway team walked the 26.7 miles from Cleeve Hill near Cheltenham to Chipping Campden for the challenge, while others did a shorter walk from Fish Hill, Broadway to Chipping Campden – around six miles.
