South Cave FC scores with Bellway sponsorship
The Yorkshire division of national homebuilder, Bellway Homes has gained a host of new fans after confirming a kit sponsorship for South Cave Sporting Club Under 12 Sharks team.
The junior club, currently playing in the Hull and District Youth Football League Under 12 Riding division, welcomed a £500 sponsorship from Bellway to fund a new kit for the 23/24 season.
The housebuilder, which is currently active on Barleycorn Way in South Cave, shares a close connection with the community and local junior football team, whose home ground, The Bull Field is within the same village.
Melanie Smith, Bellway Yorkshire’s sales director, said: “With any development, our aim is to build homes that quickly form communities and for a lot of local people, sport is a community; whether that be junior level or open age.”
Being constructed in a peaceful setting off Little Wold Lane, Barleycorn Way is within easy walking distance of South Cave’s village centre. It features a host of excellent local amenities, and as with all of Bellway’s West Hull developments is only a short drive away from Hull city centre and all it has to offer.
Gary Wainman, South Cave Sharks manager, said: “Grassroots football serves as the foundation of amateur sports in our country, but realistically wouldn’t be possible without capital funding from local businesses. Generous contributions from benefactors like Bellway Homes play a pivotal role in sustaining our operations, allowing us to keep the game alive season after season.”

Bellway were delighted to sponsor South Cave Sharks and we loved seeing the pictures of the boys proudly wearing their kits,” added Melanie.
Barleycorn Way is now 90 per cent sold out with prices on the remaining homes currently available ranging from £389,995 for a three-bedroom detached home through to £424,995 for a four-bedroom detached home.
