Second phase of new homes on sale at development in Hatfield Peverel

Bellway Essex has released the first homes for sale in the second phase of its Hatfield Grove development in Hatfield Peverel.

The housebuilder is delivering an additional 50 homes on land at Bury Farm, neighbouring the first phase of Hatfield Grove on the former Arla Dairy site off Station Road.   

The new phase, which will be accessed off Bury Lane, comprises a range of 32 two, three and four-bedroom houses for private sale, alongside 18 affordable homes available for local people through rent or shared ownership.

Bellway is continuing construction on the first phase, where it is building 145 properties, with just four of these homes remaining for sale.

Jenny Walker, Sales Director at Bellway Essex, said: “Hatfield Grove has proved to be a very popular development which is evidenced by the fact that all but a handful of homes on the first phase have been snapped up.

“This second phase of new homes, which have just been released onto the market, will provide another opportunity for buyers at various stages of the property ladder to purchase a high-quality new-build house in this very desirable corner of Essex.

“Construction is progressing well on the site and we are confident that the mix of two, three and four-bedroom properties will meet the needs of a wide variety of purchasers, from first-time buyers to growing families and downsizers.”

Bellway Essex is not only delivering a total of 195 new homes at Hatfield Grove but also building 140 properties at Priory Grange, off Stone Path Drive, in Hatfield Peverel, which is located within close proximity of Hatfield Grove, meaning potential buyers can visit both sites during the same trip.

As part of the planning agreement for these two developments, Bellway Essex is contributing more than £1.8 million to help improve the local infrastructure and facilities – more than £1 million for the first phase of Hatfield Grove, nearly £550,000 for Priory Grange, and more than £300,000 as part of the plans for the second phase of Hatfield Grove.

“As part of our contributions, Bellway is to provide more than £650,000 towards primary schooling, over £150,000 towards early years education and childcare and more than £100,000 towards Sidney House GP surgery. These are just a few of a range of contributions we are making.”  

There is currently a choice of two, three and four-bedroom new houses available to reserve at Hatfield Grove, with prices starting at £359,995.
