New showhome opens at Jubilee Green development in Coventry

A new showhome has opened its doors to prospective housebuyers at Bellway’s Jubilee Green development in Coventry.

Bellway South Midlands has officially unveiled the three-bedroom detached property at the site off Watery Lane, where 40 new homes are being built.

Built in the Sawyer design, the house features an open-plan kitchen, dining and family area with French doors which open onto the rear garden, a separate living room, en suite shower to the main bedroom, and a family bathroom.

Elaine Brown, Sales Director for Bellway South Midlands, said: “Jubilee Green has already attracted a high level of interest from homebuyers since the first homes went on sale in June. The opening of our showhome will give prospective purchasers the chance to look around a decorated and styled house on the site, where construction work is continuing.

“This small collection of just 40 homes will form a close-knit neighbourhood on the northern outskirts of Coventry, just three miles from the city centre. Residents will benefit from living right on the doorstep of Keresley Jubilee Wood, which features over seven acres of native trees planted to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II in 2012.

“The development is proving particularly popular with families, due largely to the wide selection of schools nearby, including President Kennedy School next door to the site, while the easy access to the nearby Arena Shopping Park also makes this an extremely convenient location for buyers.

“The Sawyer showhome exemplifies the high quality of construction and finish that buyers can expect at Jubilee Green. The layout is ideal for busy families, with a large open-plan space for socialising complemented by a separate living room for peace and relaxation.”

Jubilee Green will comprise 30 homes for private sale and 10 affordable properties for local people. Five of these will be sold at a price below market value, while the remaining five will be available for low-cost rent or shared ownership.

Construction work started on the four-acre site in January last year, and the first residents are due to move into their new homes in March. All properties at the site are due to be completed by the summer.

As part of the planning agreement for the development, Bellway is contributing more than £400,000 towards local education, healthcare and biodiversity measures.

There’s currently a choice of three and four-bedroom houses available to reserve at Jubilee Green, with prices starting from £337,500 and £405,000 respectively.
