New show apartment open at Ebbsfleet Cross at Garden City

Bellway has unveiled a new show apartment at its Ebbsfleet Cross at Garden City development, where a third of the homes have been sold.

The developer is building 232 new homes on the former Croxton and Garry Quarry, off Tiltman Avenue, in Swanscombe.

The new Kentwell 22 show apartment was unveiled to guests at a launch event which included a barbecue and drinks in the garden of the development’s Felter show house and sales office.

Emma Hamlett, Sales Director at Bellway Thames Gateway, said: “The launch day was well attended and it was great to welcome visitors to Ebbsfleet Cross at Garden City to see the new community taking shape.

“This show apartment opening was the first chance for visitors to view one of the apartments in the Kentwell apartment building. The home, which has been decorated and furnished by our team of interior design experts, is ideal for first-time buyers and young couples, including those who might need extra room for a working-from-home office space.”

Bellway’s development forms part of the wider Ebbsfleet Garden City regeneration scheme which is set to deliver a total of 15,000 new homes, a range of community facilities and acres of green open space.

Bellway Thames Gateway has made a payment of £584,477.70 in Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) to Ebbsfleet Development Corporation in July to help fund improvements in local services. This is the third instalment, with the total CIL payments for the development set to be £2,337,910.79.

Ebbsfleet Cross at Garden City will deliver 162 new homes for private sale and 70 affordable properties available for local people through low-cost rent or shared ownership. There will be a collection of 148 one and two-bedroom apartments and 84 two, three and four-bedroom houses.

Emma said: “Strong demand has seen us sell 60 of the homes here so far. The construction programme is moving apace and we have built 28 homes, with all but one of which now occupied.

“Bellway is proud to be playing a key role in the wider Ebbsfleet Garden City regeneration scheme by delivering hundreds of new homes, creating hundreds of local jobs and driving investment in the infrastructure in the area through our building programmes at Ebbsfleet Cross at Garden City and Harbour Village in Northfleet as well as at Crossways Quarter in nearby Greenhithe.”

There is currently a choice of one and two-bedroom apartments available to reserve at Ebbsfleet Cross at Garden City, with prices starting at £240,000, while two, three and four-bedroom houses are priced from £380,000.
