New phase of homes released for sale in Fradley

Bellway has released a new phase of homes for sale at its Sheasby Park development in Fradley.

The housebuilder is delivering 237 new homes in the third phase of the development at the former RAF Lichfield site, off Common Lane.

Work began at the site – where Bellway West Midlands is building a total of 624 properties, including 538 for private sale and 86 affordable homes available for local people through rent or shared ownership – in 2016.

Phase three comprises a range of one-bedroom apartments and two, three, four and five-bedroom houses. The developer is set to open the doors to a showhome on the development on Thursday 1 December.

Marie Richards, Sales Director for Bellway West Midlands, said: “The new homes we are delivering in phase three represent a brand-new choice of properties at Sheasby Park, following on from the success of the first two phases.

“We started building at Sheasby Park six years ago and are continuing to meet the robust demand for housing in Fradley and the surrounding area at this major development. Due to the high level of interest in these new homes we anticipate that sales will be brisk, having already sold two plots since their release.

“It will be a pleasure to be able to invite visitors to come along to the site and look inside the showhome – a fully finished and furnished property. The showhome will allow potential purchasers to see first-hand exactly how it could look to live in one of these top-quality properties.”

Bellway’s development is part of a wider plan to create a brand-new neighbourhood – including up to 750 new homes, a new primary school and public open space – on the former airfield, which closed in 1958 after being used to train pilots during the Second World War.

Bellway started construction work on phase one of Sheasby Park in 2016 with the first residents moving into their new homes in May 2017.

The majority of the properties within phase three are from the Artisan Collection – Bellway’s flagship range of homes created after decades of customer input.

Marie said: “The feedback we are getting from buyers about the Artisan Collection is incredibly positive. The properties are built to a very high specification and finish, using a combination of traditional craftsmanship allied with modern construction methods.

“Another factor that is attracting buyers, especially families, is the development’s village location and the fact that it has been designed to complement the rural setting and embrace the local wildlife.

“The sustainable site features an impressive area of landscaped open space, a large pond which attracts a multitude of birds, and wildlife habitats including a number of hedgehog houses, which are small structures to offer these nocturnal creatures a safe place to sleep and hibernate.”

There’s currently a selection of two, three and four-bedroom new homes available to buy, with prices starting from £239,995.
