‘Married work couple’ team up again at Bellway’s Centurion Chase

A Bellway site manager and sales advisor who say they’re like a ‘married work couple’ have teamed up for the third time running to help homebuyers find their ideal home in the North East.

Project Manager Peter Woods and Sales Advisor Susan Wallace have both previously worked together at two other Bellway developments in the region – at Callerton Rise in Callerton, Newcastle, and Havannah Park in Hazlerigg.

They’ve now moved to the housebuilder’s Centurion Chase in Wallsend, where the first homes have recently been released for sale, and plan to continue their work putting the customer first as this new development takes shape.

Susan said: “We work well together and support each other to ultimately have ‘Customer First’ as our main focus. We are like a married work couple.”

Peter, who has worked in the building industry since 1999 and spent the last five years with Bellway, has been capturing how work is progressing on site via drone photography. The latest image shows the first roads and the foundations of the first homes as well as the development’s new attenuation basin.

Bellway is building 215 two, three, four and five-bedroom houses at the development, off Rheydt Avenue, with 54 of these allocated as affordable housing available through low-cost rent or to buy at a discount to market value.

The project will also generate more than £800,000 in financial contributions towards services and infrastructure in the area, including for allotments, ecology and biodiversity, parks and green space, sports facilities and primary education.

Emma Chesterton, Sales Director for Bellway North East, said: “It is great to have Peter and Susan on board for this new venture at Centurion Chase.

“They complement each other’s skills very well and both are focused on delivering high-quality new homes and exceptional service to our customers. They’re a great team and we’re sure they will bring the success they’ve seen at their previous developments to Centurion Chase.

“Work is progressing well now at the development and the first homes are now available to reserve. We’re seeing lots of interest from people locally and are looking forward to the first properties taking shape and handing over the first sets of keys to buyers in spring 2024.”

There’s currently a choice of three and four-bedroom houses available to reserve at Centurion Chase, with prices starting from £239,995.
