House-hunters see behind the scenes at Sheasby Park in Fradley
House-hunters have had a chance to see behind the scenes at Bellway’s Sheasby Park development in Fradley.
Homebuilder Bellway held a ‘Dusty Boots’ event at the development near Lichfield so that people interested in buying a new home there could find out more about the construction process.
As part of the event, which took place last month, visitors were shown around houses that are mid-way through the build process and had the chance to ask questions about the way the properties are constructed.
Marie Richards, Sales Director for Bellway West Midlands, said: “The Dusty Boots event was a great success as we got a lot of interest in the homes and the way we build them.
“It’s inspiring to see a showhome all finished and decorated, but attending an event like this when the homes are part-way through the build gives people a unique insight.
“It is a chance to find out about the measures and methods that are hidden away once the home is finished but which are so important to the warmth, comfort, and efficiency of the properties.”
Visitors to the event were able to look around houses in the homebuilder’s two-bedroom The Joiner and The Potter styles.
Bellway is building 624 properties at Sheasby Park, with 538 homes for private sale and 86 affordable homes for rent or shared ownership. Work started on the scheme in 2016 and the first residents moved in the following year. A new primary school, Fradley Park Primary School, opened in September 2022 and the development also includes landscaped open space, a pond, and wildlife habitats.
The development, off Common Lane, is being built on what was once the RAF Lichfield site. The former airfield was used for pilot training during the Second World War and closed in 1958.
There’s a choice of two, three and four-bedroom homes currently available to reserve at Sheasby Park, with prices starting from £239,995.
