Homebuilder’s donation adds to festive fun at Hednesford care home
There was some extra festive cheer at the Littleton Lodge Care Home in Hednesford, when homebuilder Bellway donated £100 to pay for refreshments at a music concert.
Bellway is building homes at Green Oaks off Pye Green Road in the town and the care home is within the development site, so the company wanted to help provide some additional treats for residents last month.
The developer’s West Midlands division made the donation towards food for the Salvation Army music concert, which was held at Littleton Lodge on Wednesday 21 December.
It came just weeks after Bellway donated 50 chocolate selection boxes for the Santa’s grotto at the care home’s Christmas fair on Saturday 3 December. The chocolates were given out to children who attended the event.
Rachel Marner, Sales Manager for Bellway West Midlands, delivered the dozens of boxes of chocolates to Littleton Lodge.
She said: “As we are all neighbours, we wanted to give Littleton Lodge Care Home a little extra something.
“So, we were very happy to provide treats for both youngsters visiting the home for the fair and the staff and residents at the Salvation Army music concert.
“I was glad to be able to visit the home myself to deliver the chocolates and see the good work they do there. It was wonderful to play a part in their festive fun last month and we are certainly looking forward to continuing our relationship with Littleton Lodge.”
Soni Atwal, Front of House Manager at Littleton Lodge Care Home, said: “A huge thank you to Rachel and the team at Bellway for the generous donations of selection boxes for our fair last month.
“We were also then so grateful for the money they contributed to the Salvation Army concert we hosted at the lodge, which was so generous of them and really helped make it such a special event.
“We are really looking forward to working alongside the team at Bellway in the future.”
