Hampton Magna homebuilder invests £1 million in local services

Bellway is contributing more than £1 million to services in Warwickshire as it nears the two-year mark of construction at its Hampton Trove development in Hampton Magna.

The homebuilder is delivering 147 homes at the development, off Daly Avenue, and has committed to funding education, transport, health and sport as part of its planning agreement for the scheme.

Education will receive more than £450,000, bus service improvements are being funded with a £224,000 contribution, while healthcare services will be given more than £169,000, some of which will be spent on improvements to Budbrooke Medical Centre.

Meanwhile, more than £120,000 is being provided for indoor sports at local leisure centres and an outdoor sports contribution of £10,000 will be invested in artificial pitches in the district.

Elaine Brown, Sales Director for Bellway South Midlands, said: “We started work at Hampton Trove around the end of 2020. It seems a long time ago and times were certainly very different then as we were deep in the pandemic.

“So, it is wonderful as we near this two-year point to look back at what we have achieved and reflect on the positive contributions we are making to services in the area through the payments we have committed to as part of our planning agreement.

“Education, transport, health, and sport are at the very heart of what makes a thriving, happy and sustainable community, so we couldn’t be happier that Bellway is putting more than £1 million into supporting these aspects of local life.

“We are also making an important contribution to affordable housing, with 59 of the 147 homes at Hampton Trove being made available to local people through low-cost rent or shared ownership.

“New residents have been moving into their new homes here over the past year and creating a busy community as this new neighbourhood has taken shape.

“Work is progressing well, with well over half of the homes on the market now purchased. Hampton Trove has attracted a lot of interest, as it is in a semi-rural location, with easy access to Warwick, Coventry and Leamington Spa, so it gives people the best of both worlds.”

The development features a mix of houses and bungalows from Bellway’s Artisan Collection, a range of house styles developed with feedback from customers.

There’s currently a choice of two, three and four-bedroom houses available to reserve, with prices starting from £284,995.
