Good Times Yate festival gets cash boost from homebuilder Bellway
The Good Times festival has received a £500 donation from local homebuilder Bellway.
The event, which takes place at Yate Town Football Club at the end of May, will feature six days of music and comedy including performances from Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra, McFly, and Sophie Ellis-Bextor.
Festival organiser James Murden visited Bellway’s Berwick Green development at Cribbs Causeway in Bristol to receive the donation on Friday (17 May).
Bellway South West Sales Manager Rachel Way said: “The Good Times Yate festival is going to be a brilliant event and the line-up really has something for everyone to enjoy. Not only that, but it will bring the community together and attract visitors to the area to have fun.
“As a local homebuilder, we were keen to support Good Times Yate with some money to help the organisers stage the event and we hope our sponsorship goes towards making it a great success.”
James was presented with a cheque for £500 by Julie Dondoua, Sales Advisor, at Bellway’s Berwick Green development, where the company is building a mix of two, three, and four-bedroom homes.
James said: “We are thrilled to present these world class music acts in Yate and are very grateful to Bellway for their support in helping to make the events happen”
Good Times Yate runs from Wednesday 22 to Monday 27 May.
The line-up includes McFly, Jools Holland, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Scouting for Girls, Toploader, Andy and the Odd Socks, and Ibiza in Symphony. The last night will feature comedy from Paul Smith, Ed Byrne, Zoe Lyons, Troy Hawke, and Cerys Neles.

Bellway recently completed construction work at its Ladden Garden Village development in Yate and is currently building 256 homes in the first phase at Berwick Green.
