First residents move in at Bellway development in Goff’s Oak

The first residents have moved into their new homes at Bellway’s development in Goff’s Oak, where nearly half of the properties have now been sold.

Buyers have started occupying some of the first homes which have been completed at Cedarbrook Rise, with construction work on site progressing well.

Bellway North London is delivering 66 new build properties at the development, off Burton Lane, which includes a mix of two, three and four-bedroom houses. 40 of the homes being provided will be for private sale and 26 affordable houses will be built for local people through rent or shared ownership.

Of the 40 private houses being built, Bellway has already completed construction on 12 of these.

Zoe Dobbs, Sales Manager at Bellway North London, said: “Cedarbrook Rise has proved to be very popular with prospective purchasers right from the outset, with over 2,000 people registered on our database before we launched the development to the public with our first sales release.

“This level of interest continued when we opened our showhome in September last year, and our build programme has seen us complete 30 per cent of the private properties and has enabled us to hand over the keys to more than a quarter of the new homes for sale on the site.”

The developer opened the doors to a three-bedroom Harper showhome in September, as well as a viewhome of a four-bedroom Piper house type.

A large number of the homes at Cedarbrook Rise are part of Bellway’s Artisan Collection. This is a range of homes created after decades of customer feedback, combining modern construction techniques with traditional craftsmanship.

Zoe said: “The homes in our Artisan Collection are proving to be a big hit with our customers at Cedarbrook Rise. Buyers have been impressed by the high-quality properties, especially with the knowledge that they were created following customer feedback, to suit modern day lifestyles and family living. A lot of our homes also feature a work from home space, which gives buyers the ability to have that work life balance, whilst being able to work from the comfort of their homes.

“We also have a three-bedroom showhome and a four-bedroom home available to view, which helps enormously as it allows visitors to see the use of space in the properties and to see for themselves what it might be like to live in one of these new houses.

“We have had a number of local people purchasing a home here, but also first-time buyers who have been renting in London but want to move out of the city for a better quality of life. The affordability of the homes here allows these buyers to get their foot on the property ladder.

“Families have been attracted by the range of good schools nearby and the chance to live on a small development in the Hertfordshire countryside. Young commuters are being drawn to the development by the excellent transport links with the M25 nearby and Cuffley railway station, which is about a mile away, offering regular train services to the capital. This means that residents who need to commute can be in central London within in an hour, as can people who work from home but want easy access to the bright lights of the big city.

“It is always a milestone to celebrate when we hand over the keys to the first residents at a development, and it is very pleasing to witness a site being transformed from a collection of properties into a real neighbourhood with people going about their daily lives in their new homes.”

There’s currently a selection of three and four-bedroom properties available to reserve at Cedarbrook Rise, with prices starting at £550,000 for a three-bedroom semi-detached home.
