First homes released for sale at Harbour Village in Northfleet
The first homes have been released for sale at Bellway London’s new Harbour Village development in Northfleet, with a launch event on February 4 at the local community centre.
The 532-home scheme is being built on land that was once home to Northfleet Cement Works on the south bank of the Thames, as part of the wider Ebbsfleet Garden City project.
A sales cabin is now open on the site off College Road, where potential purchasers are able to meet the sales advisors and reserve a new home off-plan.
Bellway London Sales Manager, James Pitt, said: “There is a lot of interest in our Harbour Village scheme and so we were keen to release the houses early from the local community centre to allow buyer to reserve their dream home as soon as possible.
“The event was a success and prospective buyers were able to meet the sales team face-to-face and find out more about the new homes we’re building.
“We have been working closely with groundwork specialists Coinford to get the site up and running as soon as possible.
“The riverside location and the range of properties on offer is proving very attractive to potential buyers. Plus, on a practical level, being within walking distance of two railway stations is a great benefit to commuters.
“It is certainly very satisfying to see the buzz that is being generated around what was a brownfield site that had gone unused for over a decade.”
Harbour Village will be made up of 372 homes for private sale and 160 affordable homes. The properties will be one and two-bedroom apartments and two, three and four-bedroom houses, with many of the homes enjoying river views.
The first phase of building work will deliver 121 homes, as well as the first formal area of public open space, called Chimney View Park, which will include play equipment, new planting and pathways.
Harbour Village is part of the wider Ebbsfleet Garden City development, which will bring 15,000 homes to the area, as well as shops, commercial and office space, parks, and public open space.
