First homes go on sale at new development in Ebbsfleet
The first homes have been released for sale at a new development in Ebbsfleet Garden City.
Bellway Kent is building 182 properties at Alkerden Heights, on an 11-acre site off Castle Hill Road in Alkerden village, which is part of the former Eastern Quarry.
An off-site launch event was held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Dartford Bridge hotel, in Dartford, on Saturday (19 November). Customers who had registered an interest with Bellway were given the chance to secure their chosen plot off plan, with 13 registrations for future sales made during the weekend.
Mark Harrop, Sales Director of Bellway Kent, said: “The launch event gave us the chance to meet some of those who are interested in living at our new development in Ebbsfleet Garden City.
“We were able to showcase all that Alkerden Heights can offer in terms of the variety of properties for sale and the house styles buyers can choose from.
“We are particularly excited about our showhome. It’s set to open to the public next spring, so that will be another important landmark in the construction of this development.”
The showhome will be a four-bedroom, double-fronted detached house in Bellway’s Bowyer house style. This property type is part of the homebuilder’s Artisan Collection which was developed through feedback from buyers.
Alkerden Heights will include 136 homes for private sale and 46 affordable properties available for local people through rent or shared ownership. There will be one and two-bedroom apartments and two, three, and four-bedroom houses.
Bellway expects the first properties to be complete and ready for occupation in the summer of 2023.
The development is part of the Ebbsfleet Garden City project which aims to provide 15,000 new homes and create 30,000 jobs in a large area around Ebbsfleet International railway station.
The Eastern Quarry part of the project is planned to deliver 6,000 of those homes once it is complete. This area takes in Alkerden and neighbouring villages Ashmere and Castle Hill.
There’s a selection of two, three and four-bedroom homes now available to reserve at Alkerden Heights, with prices starting from £324,995.
