Driffield sales soar as Bellway hails town as the place to call home

Bellway Homes says Driffield is fast becoming the place people want to call home after sales at its development in the town soared past the 75 per cent sold mark.

Wolds View, which is being built close to the Alfred Bean Hospital on Bridlington Road, features 293 two, three and four-bedroom semi-detached, detached and town houses and has been a huge hit with buyers from the moment sales started.

Jessica Hall, Bellway Yorkshire’s sales manager, said: “We’ve enjoyed a lot of success in the East Riding over the years, but we were still taken aback by the way sales started here in Driffield. We sold 37 homes off-plan and out a sales cabin in less than six months and interest hasn’t let up since.”

Prices on Wolds View currently range from £168,995 for a two-bedroom, semi-detached Milton to £351,995 for a four-bedroom detached Alder.

“When you take a moment to consider Driffield, it’s easy to see why Wolds View is proving to be such a popular development,” added Jessica. “The area is fantastic, the people are welcoming, the house prices are extremely competitive and the development really does have something for everyone; from first time buyers to growing families; property ladder climbers to downsizers.”

In addition to Driffield, Bellway is currently building in sites in Anlaby, Brough, Kirk Ella, Howden, Pocklington and South Cave, with a new development in Beverely due to open in the spring.
