Crossways Quarter apartments launched early to meet homebuyer demand

Due to the high demand for homes in Greenhithe, Bellway London has released the first apartments for sale at its Crossways Quarter site before the development has opened to the public.

The sales centre at the homebuilder’s Copperhouse Green development in nearby Dartford – which is now a one-stop shop for both sites – hosted a launch event for Crossways Quarter on Saturday 25 March.

Visitors were able to see models of the new apartments which will be built at Crossways Quarter, ask questions of the sales advisors and enjoy refreshments.

Emma Hamlett, Sales Director for Bellway London, said: “The event was a great success. We were able to showcase what Crossways Quarter will look like once it comes to fruition and give homebuyers the chance to secure their place at this highly sought-after site.

“This development is already proving to be popular – with more than 2,000 people registering their interest pre-event – and this is testament to the demand for new homes in the local area.”

Crossways Quarter will comprise 258 apartments on a 4.8-acre site between St Mary’s Road and Crossways Boulevard in Greenhithe. Of these homes, 232 will be for private sale and 26 allocated as affordable homes available for low-cost rent or shared ownership.

Five apartment blocks will be arranged around a central park, while two linked apartment buildings will surround a podium courtyard. To encourage residents to use sustainable means of transport, each apartment will have access to a bicycle storage area and a walking/cycling path will cross the site.

Bellway London’s Copperhouse Green development, which is just three miles from Crossways Quarter, will consist of 711 homes which are being built in five phases across 19 apartment blocks on land between Lowfield Street and Central Park in Dartford.

The first two phases, comprising 276 homes, have already been completed, and work is well underway on the third phase of 280 homes. Work on the whole development is due to be finished in 2028.

The first homes released for sale at Crossways Quarter include one and two-bedroom apartments, with prices starting from £248,000.

There’s also a selection of studio and two-bedroom apartments currently available to reserve at Copperhouse Green from £205,995, with a third phase having launched on Saturday 22 April.
