Construction work complete on 50 new homes in North Bersted

Construction work has come to an end at Bellway’s Rookery Park development in North Bersted, with all 50 homes planned there now complete.

The development is located on the northern edge of Bognor Regis on a 4.8-acre site off New Barn Lane, next to Jubilee Playing Fields.

All but one of the 35 two, three and four-bedroom houses that have been built for private sale here have now been sold, while the remaining 15 homes have provided affordable housing for local people through low-cost rent or shared ownership.

Bellway has contributed more than £450,000 towards public facilities in the local area as part of the planning agreement for the development with Arun District Council.

This includes more than £300,000 towards primary, secondary and sixth form education, more than £70,000 towards the maintenance of public open space and more than £56,000 towards GP services in the Bersted, Maywood and Bognor areas. Further contributions have been made to the fire service and libraries.

Kim Caldwell, Sales Director at Bellway Wessex, said: “With construction work at Rookery Park now complete, we are looking forward to welcoming the final customers into their new homes here.

“The development has provided a range of high-quality housing, built to the exacting standards which have led to Bellway being awarded five-star status from the Home Builders Federation for the past six years running. This means more than 90 per cent of our customers would recommend Bellway to a friend or family member.”

The Mason is a three-bedroom detached house, with a large open-plan kitchen/dining/family room, a separate living room and a utility room, and an en suite master bedroom upstairs. The final property for sale is priced from £399,995.
