Bellway sponsors Pontypridd Schools under-11 rugby tour to Gibraltar
A local housebuilder has donated £250 to sponsor a rugby tour to Gibraltar for the Pontypridd Schools under-11s squad.
Bellway Wales, which is building new homes at its Coed Derw development in Llantwit Fardre, near Pontypridd, has made the contribution which will help fund the four-day tour in May.
The Pontypridd Schools under-11 squad is made up of the best players from 30 schools in the area, which runs from Ynysybwl in the north, Taffs Well in the south and Llanharan to the west.
On the trip, the 30 youngsters will not only play rugby but will have some fun on the water and will have time to see some of the sights.
Ross Maisey, Pontypridd Schools under-11s coach, said: “All at Pontypridd Schools Rugby Union would like to thank Bellway for its recent kind sponsorship of our under-11 squad. The money donated will help our young players go on a tour of a lifetime to Gibraltar.
“As well as the rugby games against Gibraltar RFC, the players will enjoy a boat trip spotting dolphins, a morning paddleboarding and a trip up the 'rock' to see the famous Gibraltar monkeys.”
