Bellway sponsors Nuneaton football team for second season
A girls football team in Nuneaton has been supported by local housebuilder Bellway for a second season.
Bellway West Midlands – which is building new homes at Royal Park, off The Long Shoot in town – has donated £500 to Ambleside Junior FC’s Under-9 Lionesses to sponsor their kits this season.
The housebuilder gave the team £600 last season, when they were playing as Under-8s, to fund winter jackets.
Both sponsorships were organised by Sarah Dalgetty, who works as a sales advisor for Bellway, and whose daughter Annie plays for the team. The club is based off Ambleside Way, around a mile from Bellway’s Royal Park development.
Ben Dalgetty, Ambleside Junior FC Manager, said: “The football club and the girls will again benefit massively from this kind donation from Bellway.
“Clubs like ourselves rely on sponsorship and fundraising to sustain itself, so for Bellway to show their generosity for a second year running was brilliant and shows their interest and support in the local community.
“This donation means the girls can continue doing something they love.”
