Bellway site manager scoops another award
Hot on the heels of winning a National House Building Council Pride in the Job Award, Bellway Senior Site Manager Peter Lawrie has been presented with a national Health & Safety Award.
The Bellway national UK awards, which is in its second year, short-listed 44 sites which were assessed and then four regional winners were selected for their achievements. An overall winner will be awarded next month.
Peter and his team, Bellway Homes Ltd (Scotland East) received the award for their outstanding work at Earl’s Way in Glenrothes representing Scotland and the North East Divisions. He was presented with a plaque by Group Health and Safety Director, Claire Birkhead.
Commenting on the award Peter said, “It’s great to win this award as it shows the dedication by the team on site that health and safety is always our number one priority.”
Claire Birkhead, Group Health and Safety Director, added, “This is a highly sought-after award and demonstrates our commitment, innovation and dedication to health and safety. We are very proud of all those put forward for the award, and Earl’s Way was exceptional in its presentation.”
Earlier this month Peter, from Dunfermline, was presented with an NHBC award for the Large Builder Category also for his work Earl’s Way development. He will now represent Scotland at the UK Supreme final’s taking place in January 2024 in London.
With over 35 years’ experience in the industry, Peter, who has worked with Bellway for almost two years, is no stranger to the awards having won a Pride in the Job with a previous housebuilder.
Earlier this year he secured a Pride in the Job Award, then a Seal of Excellence Award and now the prestigious Regional Award.
