Bellway sells out in two West Hull villages

Bellway Yorkshire has seen two West Hull village developments sell-out within days of each other – with the final homes at both Barleycorn Way in South Cave and Tranby Park in Anlaby being snapped up by eager buyers.

The two developments, which are within 10 miles of each other, comprised a total of 352 new build homes – 126 of which were built in South Cave and 226 in Anlaby. And while the mix of homes sizes and types across both meant they appealed to a wide spectrum of buyers, Bellway says the sales success enjoyed on both was strongly linked to location, location, location.

Melanie Smith, Bellway Yorkshire’s sales director, said: “The West Hull villages hold a huge appeal to local buyers and those moving into the area alike – and it’s easy to see why. They provide all the benefits of the peaceful pace of village life, and easy access to the coast, the countryside and one of the north of England’s fastest growing and most exciting cities.

“And that’s before you take into consideration the exceptional transport infrastructure and competitive house prices that have transformed the East Riding into one of the north of England’s brightest property hotspots.”

Both developments were built in peaceful settings within easy walking distance of their respective villages. With Barleycorn Way situated in a peaceful setting on South Cave’s Little Wold Lane; and Tranby Park built in a wooded area just of Beverely Road in Anlaby.

And the sales success in the East Riding shows no sign of abating following these two developments selling-out, with Bellway currently building and selling strongly in Beverley, Brough, Driffield, Kirk Ella and Snaith – with its Palmer’s Grange development in Brough proudly ranking as its fastest selling site in all of Yorkshire for the past 12-months.

Part of the £200million Brough South development that is transforming land on the banks of the Humber into a thriving new community, Palmer’s Grange comprises 320 homes – ranging from two-bedroom homes through to five-bedroom semi-detached and detached homes – and has been selling at a rate of nearly two homes per week for the last 12-months. Prices in Brough currently range from£214,995 to £394,995.

“We’ve enjoyed a lot of success in the East Riding and Hull over many years, but over the last year it’s been nothing short of astonishing, with buyers from all walks of life and locations seemingly coming to the conclusion that the East Riding is the place they want to call home,” added Melanie.”
