Bellway opens new housing development in St Leonards-on-Sea
Bellway Kent has launched a new development at St Leonards and welcomed the public onto the site for the first time.
The housebuilder threw open the doors to a sales office at Porters Grove, on the former Darwell Campus of St Leonards Academy, off Darwell Close, on Saturday 12 November.
Bellway is building 158 homes for private sale on the site and released the first selection of properties onto the market at the event. There will be a mix of two, three and four-bedroom homes for sale at the development.
Mark Harrop, Sales Director at Bellway Kent, said: “This was an eagerly-awaited launch of a development that has created a good deal of interest both locally and further afield. Members of our sales team were kept very busy all weekend as a steady stream of visitors took their chance to get a look at the site.
“Our sales advisors fielded a range of questions from a mix of prospective purchasers, from first-time buyers to downsizers and growing families, who were attracted by the selection of two, three and four-bedroom homes being built on the site.
“This first access to the development enabled visitors to fully appreciate the size and layout of the site and its fabulous location on the edge of the pretty seaside town of St Leonards-on-Sea.”
In addition to the homes for private sale, a further 52 affordable homes managed by Orbit Homes will be delivered within the 23-acre site and will be available for local people through rent or shared ownership.
Porters Grove will feature public open space, footpaths and children’s play areas. All of the homes for private sale will have garages or space for parking.
