Bellway Manchester turns pink for charity

Bellway Manchester turned pink for charity during the month of October, raising £1662 for Breast Cancer UK.

Afternoon tea events were held at four developments during the month, including Royal Bowland Park in Westhoughton, Grey Gables Farm in Bamber Bridge, Park Gate Village in Knutsford and Marmalade at the Jam Factory in Droylsden.

The sales advisors at each development hosted the events, inviting residents and interested purchasers to attend. Having dressed the sales and marketing suite in pink, and with a fabulous pink free flow balloon display at the entrance of the development, all guests were encouraged to bake a cake and bring it along.

The sales managers picked the winners of the best cake competition, with all winners receiving a £150 gift voucher of their choice.  From a spectacular M&M cake to an authentic Japanese cheesecake, the residents really enjoyed the competition pulling out all the stops!

The events were a great success.  Sales Director, Grace Yarlett, says: “Hosting the Breast Cancer Awareness events was a wonderful way to reconnect with residents at our developments, as well as spend time getting to know potential purchasers.  They were really relaxed events, with the cake competition at each a real highlight.  Being involved in the local community is so important and we are thrilled to have raised £1662 for such an important cause.”
