Bellway launches new home office pod in Helensburgh

Bellway Homes Limited (Scotland West) has released a range of new homes at its Alder Gate development in Helensburgh including a new home office package in support of hybrid working.

Located on Cardross Road in the sought-after coastal location, Alder Gate is a collection of 107 new homes.

The new properties to be released include a range of three- and four-bedroom options with prices ranging from £329,995 for the Rosedale.

The new Urban Pod home office has been introduced in response to the number of people permanently working from home.   It features a sliding entrance door and windows, with a Siberian larch clad finish with grey metal facia and design batons. Fully plastered and painted internally, it includes a choice of Karndean flooring.  Spot lighting, infrared heading and sockets are also included.

The Urban Pod is on show at Alder Gate and is priced from £13,895 plus vat however, it can be tailored further by additional extra such as air-conditioning, built-in surround sound speaker system, blinds, and different coloured mood lighting.

Pauline Coates, Sales Director, Bellway Homes Limited (Scotland West) said, “Alder Gate has been an extremely popular development as it really has the best of all worlds – fantastic scenery, a great outdoor lifestyle, good schooling, a vibrant food scene, and a regular train service.  It really does offer an escape from urban living.

“Very often clients want everything done to their new home before they move in and the office pod is an extension of that.  It offers people the real opportunity to combine work with being at home in a positive way where you can close the door at the end of the day and not feel work is encroaching on your personal space.”

Helensburgh is known for Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s design masterpiece The Hill House, and has a great range of shops, with lots of fantastic independent retailers as well as high street brands, along with highly rated restaurants and cafes.

Sports lovers are well catered for with a wide range of sports on offer including football, rugby, sailing and fishing. Work is almost complete on a new £22m waterfront leisure centre and swimming pool. There are four golf courses in the Helensburgh and Lomond area, alongside a wealth of outdoor activities from walks along the front to exploring Hermitage Park with over 11 acres of formal gardens, a pavilion, children’s play park, and commemorative statue of John Logie Baird, Helensburgh’s most famous resident and inventor of television.

The attractions of Glasgow city centre can be reached in around 45 minutes by car via the M8 motorway, while the nearest train station is within walking distance.

Families are well catered for as well, with excellent primary schools and a popular secondary, Hermitage Academy just a few minutes’ walk from Alder Gate. The town is also served by Lomond School, an independent day and boarding school.
