Almost 100 residents move into their new homes in Dartford

Just under 100 new residents have moved into their homes at a major regeneration scheme which is taking shape in the centre of Dartford.

Bellway London has recently handed over the keys to 91 completed apartments from two of the 20 apartment blocks at its Copperhouse Green development off Lowfield Street.

A total of 634 homes private homes will be eventually provided at Copperhouse Green, which is currently Bellway’s largest development in the South East of England.

The homes are being built on the site of a former brewery which had been derelict for 12 years before Bellway acquired the land.

Emma Hamlett, Sales Director for Bellway London, said: “A vibrant neighbourhood has already begun to form at Copperhouse Green since the first residents moved into the development last summer. The arrival of more than 91 new households will only strengthen that sense of community.

“Construction work has now been completed on three apartment blocks at Copperhouse Green - Baron Court, Labatt House and Austell Mansions - which will be home to the new residents who have arrived this summer. We are currently selling homes within Delph Court and Artisan Lodge although there are now just a limited number of apartments still available.

“The mix of one and two-bedroom apartments are proving extremely popular with first-time buyers and families, while the town centre location close to the railway station is a major draw for commuters who work in London.

“This is a hugely significant regeneration project which is creating hundreds of high-quality and attainable homes in the heart of Dartford. The scheme will make a major contribution towards helping Dartford Borough Council to meet its housing targets as well as supplying much-needed affordable homes for people unable to buy on the open market.”

Bellway is currently contributing £4.3 million to fund local services and infrastructure through the Community Infrastructure (CIL) for the development.

A selection of studio, one and two-bedroom apartments are currently available at Copperhouse Green, with prices ranging from £204,995 to £337,995.
