Visitors take first tours of new showhomes at Ashberry Homes’ Swinfen Vale development near Coalville

Two showhomes were unveiled at Ashberry Homes’ new Swinfen Vale development in Ellistown, near Coalville at the weekend.

The company is building 188 two, three and four-bedroom homes at the development off Beveridge Lane, as part of the wider South-East Coalville Sustainable Urban Extension.

The launch of the new showhomes was held on Saturday (14 September) with an open day that involved catering business Scoffi providing dirty fries, mocktails and desserts for all the visitors.

Around 40 people attended the event where they were able to look around the homes – a four-bedroom detached house in the homebuilder’s Angelica house style and a three-bedroom semi-detached house in the Daphne design.

Swinfen Vale is the latest phase within the wider new neighbourhood taking shape to the south-east of Coalville, which has been planned to include play areas, a local centre and a school alongside extensive areas of green open space including a valley park.

Ashberry Homes Sales Manager Julie Wild said: “The showhome launch was a great success. Swinfen Vale is a wonderful development with plenty to attract potential buyers.

“The new park, which comprises a riverside corridor with amenity space and wildlife areas, will be a great asset to the area and offer plenty of opportunities for enjoying time in the great outdoors.

“Meanwhile, the community facilities to be provided – with a new Aldi supermarket now open on the doorstep and a new primary school set to open next year – will ensure this will be a thriving neighbourhood with everything people need within easy reach.

“These two showhomes impressed visitors with their striking contemporary external design, which is reflected in their spacious modern interior. People were able to see the quality of the finish and think about what it would be like to live here.

“We were also pleased to provide refreshments from Scoffi’s food van on the day.”

The Angelica showhome has an open-plan kitchen/dining room leading to the garden, and a separate living room, as well as a utility room. The main bedroom has an en suite shower room and there is a separate family bathroom.

Meanwhile, the Daphne showhome is a three-storey house, with an open-plan ground floor that flows through from dining room to kitchen to living room. There are two double bedrooms on the first floor, one with an en suite shower room, plus a family bathroom. The entire second floor is devoted to a main bedroom with dressing area and a further en suite.

The first homes released for sale at Swinfen Vale include a choice of three and four-bedroom houses. Prices currently start from £269,950 for a three-bedroom semi-detached house in the homebuilder’s Evelyn house style.
