Visitors take a tour of new homes under construction at Berwick Green
Visitors took a tour of new homes at different stages of construction during a Dusty Boots event held at Bellway’s Berwick Green development in Bristol.
The event was held on Saturday 9 September, with house-hunters given the chance to don hard hats, hi-vis jackets and work boots, walk around the building site off Cribbs Causeway, and go inside a range of homes that are currently partially built.
The day gave people an insight into the construction processes involved in building a new home, in particular the energy-efficient design and materials used.
The properties available to view included a selection of two-bedroom Mills apartments, the three-bedroom Turner semi-detached home and the four-bedroom Gilder detached house.
Visitors were also able to look around the development’s quartet of three-bedroom showhomes – the semi-detached Turner, three-storey Webster and detached Mason and Thespian designs – which have been furnished and decorated to give people a sense of the lifestyle they could enjoy in a range of new Bellway homes.
“The event was also a great opportunity for people to experience the fantastic location of Berwick Green, just six miles from Bristol city centre, a five-minute drive from the Mall at Cribbs Causeway, less than a mile from Junction 17 of the M5 and five miles from Bristol Parkway station.”
The first phase of Berwick Green is to deliver 256 properties to the area, with 192 two, three and four-bedroom houses and two-bedroom apartments for private sale and 64 affordable homes available for local people through low-cost rent or shared ownership.
Bellway South West is also planning a second phase of a further 153 homes as part of a wider 760-home project.
There’s currently a choice of two-bedroom apartments and two, three and four-bedroom houses available to reserve at Berwick Green, with prices starting from £274,995.
