New homes development in Bramford set to open
House-hunters will be able to visit a new development in Bramford, which is set to be launched in the coming weeks.
Bellway Essex is to open a sales office on Saturday 14 January at Lockwood Place, off Loraine Way, where it is building a total of 190 new homes.
The development will include 123 two, three and four-bedroom houses for private sale alongside 67 affordable apartments and houses available for local people through shared ownership or rent.
Jenny Walker, Sales Director of Bellway Essex, said: “Construction work is progressing well and has put us in a position where we are preparing to open a sales office and then invite the first visitors onto the site.
“There has been a great deal of interest in Lockwood Place ever since we announced our plans to build here, and due to this strong demand, we expect this launch day to be well attended.
“Our sales team will be on hand to deal with enquiries from prospective purchasers about the mix of two, three and four-bedroom new homes available here, which are set to appeal to a wide range of purchasers, as well as the ways we can help people make their dream home a reality.”
Lockwood Place is on a 32-acre site which will feature more than 17 acres of public open space including a nature area to the north of the site, with tree planting, footpaths, seating and wildflower grassland. As part of the planning agreement, land will be set aside for a new pre-school.
Jenny said: “This is a great location for a new home as it is on the edge of the peaceful village of Bramford, but is less than four miles from the host of shops, bars and restaurants in Ipswich town centre.
“Residents will be able to walk the dog or relax on the huge open space on site, with nearby Bramford playing fields offering facilities for a number of sports including tennis, bowls and football.
“The development is ideally situated for parents as it has number of well-regarded schools in the area, with the village primary school a 15-minute walk and the secondary school, Westbourne Academy, a ten-minute car journey. Commuters will appreciate that the A14 and the A12, which provide access to Bury St Edmunds, Colchester and Felixstowe, are less than 10 minutes away.
“The build schedule at Lockwood Place is continuing apace and we hope to be able to open the doors of a new showhome at the development in spring 2023. This will enable us to give visitors their first chance to look inside a completed and fully furnished property on the site.”
